N-able Technologies and MSPAlliance Announce New Certification and Accreditation Initiative
Industry leaders team to promote a higher standard of services excellence and enable partners to earn complementary technical certifications and business accreditations.
Ottawa, Canada — April 1, 2008 — Global managed services software provider N-able Technologies and MSPAlliance (MSPA), the International Association of Managed Service Providers (MSPs), today announced a new certification and accreditation initiative that will help build and define the technical and business prowess of IT service providers and MSPs worldwide.
The new initiative, which brings together N-able's new MSP certification program and MSPAlliance's renowned Managed Services Accreditation™ exam, is designed to promote a higher standard of services excellence and business execution among the growing global MSP community. The complementary authorizations will also enable partners to more easily brand and differentiate their companies and technicians as qualified experts in delivering remote management and monitoring services.
"We are very happy to work with N-able and its partners to establish and promote a higher standard of services excellence and business acumen that will serve to benefit the industry as a whole," said Charles Weaver, president of MSPAlliance.
"Today's market is overwhelmed with marketing hype and false promises, making it difficult for end-users to qualify and select the right MSP. Rewarding those MSPs who as a company and on an individual basis achieve a proven level of business and technical competency when it comes to delivering managed services is crucial for the continued advancement of this profession."
As part of the initiative, N-able and MSPAlliance will establish stronger synergies between their certification and accreditation programs, allowing partners to earn credits within the unique programs for obtaining complementary authorizations.
In addition, all N-able partners will receive a 33 percent discount on the standard fee associated with MSPA's Managed Services Accreditation exam. Further, partners who obtain MSPA accreditation and are in good standing with N-able will be automatically enrolled in N-able's new MSP certification program as well as receive access to a wide variety of educational tools and resources through the MSPAlliance Managed Services Institute™.
N-able's President and CEO Gavin Garbutt calls the new certification and accreditation initiative a strategic priority that will help accelerate the maturation of managed services.
"There are very few standards and authorizations surrounding managed services today which makes it difficult for anyone to really measure the quality of IT services and support being delivered by partners and vendors for that matter," says Garbutt. "Together with MSPA, we are setting a benchmark for services excellence and enabling our partners to earn two distinct, yet complementary seals of approval that will help them differentiate their businesses, demonstrate value and build a stronger reputation of success in the eyes of their clients and manufacturer partners."
